I opened a CD that was paying a nice high rate. I received a letter about my account being inactive. I went to the bank and their clerk told me all was fine. Later I went to check and I was told the bank no longer had our money. This bank sent my money to the state and said they closed my account due to inactivity. How ridiculous is that. Of course there is inactivity you don't withdraw from a CD because you get penalties. Run from this bank. They don't help you resolve the problem. This was their way of avoiding paying the high interest they claim to offer. I am still trying to get my mother's money from the state. This was the money of an 84 year old widow on a fixed income.
