I tried to use my new Debit card and it was denied. I had just activated it before I tried to use it. I called 1 (800) 421-6674. The took a pic of my phone showing I have been on hold for 55 minutes and 49 seconds. The woman that FINALLY answered adviced me there wasn’t a hold on the card. I told her the business was going to try it again. Then she said , “Thank you for calling.....” I am livid. My card doesn’t work, I was on hold for over an hour and the service rep hung up without waiting to see if it works. I have a pic of my call and the minutes I had been waiting. I can’t find a way to post it. I will Call again and post my experience with the second call. I called again and a woman answered from Reno. I explained the problem and she said the debit visa card I had was not able to be used for purchases. It is only a debit visa card to be used at the credit union. I will have to open a checking account to utilize it for purchases. The woman was so helpful and respected the fact that I was on hold for so long and that the rep hung up. I had to ask if my first call was answered by NV Greater Credit Union. She explained if an incoming call was not answered by 3 minutes an outreach company takes the calls. This company is hired by NV Greater Credit Union. The Outreach company provides service for many banks. Frankly I believe and experienced this is not a business that I would hire. Well over an hour to get assistance is ridiculous. If I had known I would have just called back after a couple of minutes and waited for the credit union to answer. I find it hard to believe that this is a practice for many different banks to use this outreach phone service. They provide the worst customer service. I have to ask, “Does the credit union know how poorly this service is representing them?” I am giving no stars for my experience. However, my second call was handled by a customer service agent from NV Greater Credit Union. I would give her 5 stars.
