Membership Eligibility

a) Persons eligible for membership are persons who live, work, or attend school in Hampden and Hampshire counties in Massachusetts and family members of such persons.

b.) Membership is also limited to current and former employees within the field of membership and of the following listed entities and members of their families:

1. Mead/Westvaco Envelope Division
2. Premier Source Credit Union
3. Business or organization doing business and maintaining an office in the Springfield Industrial Park, which is that area of land in Springfield, bounded on the west by Route 291; on the North by Page Boulevard; on the east by Berkshire Avenue; and on the south by the Boston and Albany Railroad tracks.
4. The Town of Longmeadow, Massachusetts
5. The Town of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts
6. The Town of Hampden, Massachusetts
7. BayPath College
8. Willie Ross School for the Deaf
9. East Longmeadow Housing Authority
10. Longueil Transportation, Inc.
11. Lower Pioneer Valley Educational Collaborative
12. Springfield College
13. Western New England College
14. Grace Food Service
15. Aramark Food Service, Inc.
16. Top Flite, Inc.
17. Hasbro Games
18. Organizations and clubs associated with Hasbro Games

c) Membership in this corporation is also limited to those who are employees, retirees, and former employees of the Western Massachusetts Electric Company and affiliated companies. Membership also limited to employees and retirees that work at facilities formerly owned by Western Massachusetts Electric Company and affiliated companies. Membership is also limited to employees at electric companies, green energy companies, and gas, oil, and propane companies located in Hampden and Hampshire Counties. Family members of the above individuals are also eligible for membership.

d) Membership is also limited to spouses of persons who died while within the field of membership of this credit union, persons retired from the above employment, members of their families, and organizations of such persons.

e) For purposes of this Section, "Family members" is defined as: spouses, children, siblings, brothers, sisters, parents, grandchildren, grandparents, stepchildren, stepbrothers, stepsisters, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, mother-in-laws, father-in-laws, daughter-in-laws, son-in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and any person who maintains his or her principal residence in the same household with a member.

f) For purposes of this Section, the term "attend school" shall mean enrollment in any college or university for the purpose of pursuing an undergraduate or post-graduate educational degree, or post-high school technical school or institute for the purpose of training in a new career.

g) For purposes of this Section, "Affiliated companies" shall mean any corporation with more than 51% of the outstanding stock of which is or was owned by Northeast Utilities.

h) For purposes of this Section, "Electric Companies" shall mean individuals or businesses primarily engaged in the business of the generation, transmission, supply, sale, service, or movement of electricity.

i) For purposes of this Section, "Green Energy Companies" shall mean individuals or businesses primarily engaged in the business of the generation, transmission, supply, sale, service, or movement of renewable forms of energy including but not limited to tidal powers, wave powers, solar power, wind power, geothermal power, and biomass power.

j) For purposes of this Section, "Gas, Oil & Propane Companies" shall mean individuals or businesses primarily engaged in the business of the generation, transmission, supply, sale, service, or movement of gas, oil or propane.
