This has been bugging me for a few days, the so called manager there is exactly what is stated above, a JERK! I witness him harassing one of the best tellers they have, he had her in tears. I overheard her say I'm not quitting my job, twice she said it. I felt bad for her, she was humiliated. Kathy the little girl in the middle looked so scared and the other teller Judy she looked very concerned. There needs to be a change at that bank and it's not the revolving tellers!!!
My recent experience with complicated legal and banking work was greatly facilitated by Dennis and Vicki in the Trust Department and Kathleen and Jim, the manager, in Community Banking. They cheerfully assisted me in making many needed changes in the account status and made helpful suggestions in the management of the account. Thanks.
The manager is a jerk. There is one teller who is awesome: friendly, helpful, professional. She actually SMILES. She calls me by name. I suspect she won't stay long. Mostly the others are just doing a job, clocking in, clocking out. They don't make any effort to get to know customers. They don't live in the neighborhood, so they have no connection to the people who do business at this bank/branch. To say the service is impersonal (with that one exception) is an understatement. Over the past two or three years, the teller job here has been a revolving door. There used to be a great manager at this bank, she was a native of the area and knew everyone and their families, understood, and appreciated, their business. She had worked at the bank for a long time (through several buyouts/changes of management, names, etc.) and had created a culture that was really special; it used to be a true neighborhood bank. She, and the quality of service her team provided, were the constant that kept customers coming back. We felt invested in the bank and knew they were invested in us. Now, it's just a bank and the service is fair at best. We have closed many of our accounts here.
