Membership Eligibility

If you live, work, worship, volunteer, or go to school in Bernalillo County (inclusive of Albuquerque and Kirtland Air Force Base), the city of Rio Rancho, Cibola County, Torrance County or Valencia County, then you can experience the Sandia Area difference! Plus, if your immediate family is a member or lives, works, worships, volunteers or goes to school in this area, you are eligible.

In addition, we work closely with local companies to provide credit union membership to their employees through our Preferred Employer Group Program.

How to join
Becoming a member of Sandia Area is easy! With an initial savings account deposit of $5.00, you are a lifetime member of the Credit Union and are entitled to full membership benefits. There are no membership fees to join. You simply need to keep a minimum of $5.00 in your savings account and all privileges of credit union membership are open to you.
