I have had a business account with Carter Bank & Trust in Lexington, VA since 2005 and have only positive things to say about the service and the employees. I no longer live in Lexington, however, they were willing to work with me to allow my son to take over for me, as he became the manager. I would highly recommend this bank to others.

Long time customer of this bank. Today 5-18-18, I pulled into the drive thru to deposit a check as usual. It took an inordinate amount of time for this. Then this man appears in my view instructing the teller to see my driver's license as they needed to update my information. I questioned this and he became animated with me in a berating fashion. This check was from an out of town client who had a Richmond address, but is moving back home after her husband has recently passed. I gave them the license to copy but it felt more like I was being profiled for what reason I cannot fathom. I will be closing my account from Carter and I run big money through the bank as a painting contractor locally for over 30 years. Since the closing of the Stuart's draft branch the Staunton branch experience has been weird. I feel uncomfortable going there as if I'm being judged or am not welcome there. This man seems unusual at least did this day and I just don't have trust for this location.

I am a long time customer, I went to the bank today and there was nowhere to park. I've never had this happen before and this is totally unacceptable.
Sincerely,
Loyal Customer
