I just had an incident at this bank, I deposited an IRS check that I forgot to endorse. Instead of being called, or someone letting me know, Hey could you possible come back, you forgot to endorse this check, the vendor apparently just took the check and returned it in the mail. This check was deposited via ATM two days ago. Yesterday I called to see if the hold could be released since it was a government check, no one told me it was unsigned. They released the funds and said I was good to go. I check my account today and the check is taken out of my account, the funds are unavailable. I call to find out what happened and they inform me the back of the check wasn't endorsed and that I would have to wait until Friday for it to even be mailed back to me (today is early Wednesday), and then I have to wait for standard mail time to get my check back. So I will have to wait a week in order to receive my funds. This is awful bank practice. I was upset and asked to speak to a manager. I ended up speaking to a Cheryl Holoway who was immediately divisive and rude. I am understandably upset, however this manager was completely unapologetic, rude and offered me no other solutions. Basically she told me "too bad". She has no customer service skills whatsoever. I called the bank twice yesterday. Once because I needed help setting up my online account. The second to speak to them about the check I had just deposited. She saw I had called twice and INSINUATED that I called to have the hold released, was told NO and then called back to speak to someone else to have my way. This in no way happened. SHE MADE THAT UP. She blatantly made up a lie and when I called her out on it, she went back on what she said since she was making baseless accusations. So now, here I am, a brand new customer to this bank, given horrible service and then a manager insinuating that I am in some way trying to cheat my way to my own money. She offered no solutions. Any other bank would have given me options. She was in no way apologetic. I understand that it was my mistake that the check was not endorsed however, now I am left with no funds for over a week, no way to access it, a terrible experience from this bank and you are left with a manager who is disrespectful to your customers. I am going to spread the word far and wide to never use this establishment. I thought that by leaving Wells Fargo and switching to a local Credit Union would be better service. This has proven to be wrong. Cheryl Holoway should be reprimanded for her awful behavior. In fact she shouldn't have any contact with people because she has no customer service skills whatsoever. I asked for a number to speak to someone above Cheryl Holoway and they refused. They said they would only take my information and they would contact me. I DOUBT anyone will even contact me back. This is the most unprofessional establishment I have EVER dealt with. Once I receive my check I am canceling this bank account. I work in a local hospital and I will tell as many people as I can about how awful this establishment and their customer service is. No care whatsoever for their customers. The owner and CEO of this company should be ashamed of how this bank is run.
